Becoming a thing not to be taken for granted. Standpipes with taps are located around the site, for washing and filling water containers. Try not to leave them turned on.. Handbasins by the shitpits are for washing your hands, NOT for drinking water. Most sites now have a metered supply, and we'll get a bill at the end of the camp for the water that has been used. Try not to waste it!
The water supply is from a treated mains water supply, but don't forget it has to flow through a length of plastic pipe before it gets to the tap. You are not at home, and personal hygiene is essential to avoid stomach bugs. Boil the water before drinking it, and wash your hands!
